WIC-Travaganza Welcomes Over 500 Attendees for a Day of Celebration!

TVHC’s WIC-Travaganza event was a resounding success, bringing together more than 500 attendees—including over 300 families—for an afternoon of connection, celebration, and community support.

Held in honor of World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month, the event centered around this year’s theme by TVHC WIC, “Love and Health in Every Drop: A Gift for the Future,” and delivered on its mission to empower families with health, nutrition, and parenting resources.

Throughout the afternoon, families connected with over a dozen programs and community partners who offered valuable information and resources focused on breastfeeding, family health, parenting empowerment, support in nutrition, early childhood development, social services, and more.

To show appreciation for our families, guests also had the chance to win one of more than 20 raffle prizes given out throughout the day, including cash prizes, wellness baskets, kiddie fun kits, and even bikes and scooters for our lucky winners.

Entertainment added to the festive atmosphere, with a photo booth, face-painting, balloon twisting, and story time for kids, bringing smiles throughout the event. These activities reflected our goal of making WIC-Travaganza not just a health event, but a celebration of the families we serve.

We could not have imagined a better way to celebrate the strength and commitment of our WIC families and the value of breastfeeding and early nutrition in setting a foundation for lifelong health.

Thank you to our partners for helping us empower, support, and celebrate families in our community, including: Alameda County Public Health Department, Mujeres Unidas y Activas, First 5 Alameda County, Washington Health, California WIC Association, BrightLife Kids, 4Cs of Alameda County, Fremont Bank, Hively, and Kidango.
