TVHC provides a broad range of health services, including telehealth appointments, to meet the needs of individuals and families in our community.
Our fully integrated system of care improves health outcomes, reduces health care disparities and encourages prevention and healthy living. Here are some of the ways we are making a difference in the lives of our patients:
TVHC’s board-certified physicians and nurses provide expertise in internal medicine, physical exams, immunizations, diagnostics and testing, check-ups, chronic illness management, nutrition education, and much more.
Our oral health experts provide oral care and disease control with a focus on comprehensive care, education and prevention. Services include exams, cleaning and fluoride application, fillings and sealants, crowns and caps, root canals and extractions.
Our comprehensive clinical behavioral health program provides counseling for every age group. From our early childhood development program to our Over 60 mental health program, our mental health specialists ensure that our patients get the help they need at every age.
WIC is nutritional program funded by grants from the federal government that helps pregnant women, new mothers, and young children eat well and stay healthy. Our WIC specialists educate women about nutrition and breast feeding and provide resources to help them obtain healthful food for their families.
TVHC seamlessly provides its health services in a number of elementary and high schools in Alameda County, including clinical services, reproductive health care and education, mental health counseling and a variety of after school programs for both students and parents.
Family Support Services Case Management Program provides comprehensive case management services to pregnant and parenting teens and young adults. Eligible clients are under age 25 pregnant or have a child up to age 5. Supportive services are free, voluntary and confidential.
The Community Health Education programs use peer-to-peer health promotion to increase awareness, healthier lifestyles and positive social change. Our Promotoras de Salud volunteers become leaders, health educators, advocates and agents of change in their communities.
Our ocular health professionals provide ocular care, diagnosis, and treatment, with a focus on comprehensive care, education, and prevention. Services include routine eye exams, eye disease diagnosis and treatment, pre-and-post operative care, low vision services, glasses and other vision-enhancing prescription services.
