Supporting Leadership Development: TVHC's New Rising Leaders Cohort

TVHC is proud to celebrate the success of the first group of the Rising Leaders Cohort, a new training initiative designed to nurture leadership skills, spark inspiration, and support career growth across our organization.

Hosted by Learning and Development Manager Fiona Cruz and Sr. Director of Integration Gina Hernandez, this program reflects TVHC’s commitment to supporting our staff on their journeys as leaders.

The pilot cohort recently completed three sessions covering an introduction to leadership, building self-leadership, and leading others. Participants engaged in interactive discussions, group sharing, and hands-on exercises that brought leadership concepts to life.

Through surveys before and after the training, participants reported a 30% increase in confidence around building trust and a 40% increase in confidence in having crucial conversations with their teams. One participant shared that “the interactive discussions with my peers and the practical exercises that allowed us to apply leadership concepts in real scenarios were especially effective.”

With the pilot phase off to a strong start, Cohort 2 is now underway, with Cohorts 3 and 4 scheduled to launch in the new year.

I’m excited to welcome the new cohort of Rising Leaders! The launch of this second cohort is a powerful reflection of our ‘learn-it-all’ culture – one where we continuously invest in the development of current and future leaders,” shared TVHC CEO Andrea Schwab-Galindo. “Leadership is not just a title, it’s a skillset built on self-awareness, communication, accountability, and a commitment to growth. I’m incredibly proud of the success of our first cohort, and this ongoing program demonstrates our commitment to supporting our team members as they grow their careers and shape the future of TVHC.”

A big congratulations to our first graduating cohort: Alma Pulido, Ashley Griffey, Cynthia Cerna, Edlyn Campos, Erica Piceno, Lupe Calderon, Jessica Briseno, Maria Soto, and Zaira Mora!
