April 2026 CEO Community Update
As we begin the month of May, I want to take a moment to share a few highlights and reflections on the work happening across TVHC.
This past month, we had the opportunity to celebrate our 2025 TVHC Values Champions, team members who consistently exemplify our organizational values in their work and interactions. Each Champion was nominated by a colleague, making this recognition especially meaningful.
It was truly inspiring to hear from each of our champions about how they live out our values in their daily work. Our Values Champions exchanged stories around patient support and shared ideas around organization–wide communication and trainings. Congratulations to all our Champions and nominees! Thank you for helping make TVHC a great place to work and receive care.
We are proud to celebrate individuals across our organization who demonstrate compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to patient care in everything they do.
April also provided meaningful opportunities to engage with partners and leaders across our region and state. I had the honor of participating in Alameda Alliance for Health’s 30th anniversary celebration in my role as Chair of the Alliance Board of Governors. This milestone highlighted the power of partnership in advancing access to care and improving health outcomes across Alameda County, and the continued importance of Medi‑Cal and community-based systems in supporting the health of our communities.
Additionally, I joined fellow healthcare leaders and CPCA board members in Sacramento to meet with California state legislators and advocate for policies that support community health centers and the patients we serve. These conversations are critical to ensuring that the needs of our communities, particularly those most impacted by barriers to care, are represented in policy discussions and decision-making at the state level.
Thank you for your ongoing collaboration and partnership. Together, we remain committed to improving access, advancing health equity, and strengthening the systems that support the well-being of our communities.
