Promotoras de Salud is a Community Health Educator program.

Our Mission: TVHC’s Promotoras Program is dedicated to empowering our patients through health education, resources, and culturally and linguistically appropriate services. Our goal is to serve our community with excellence by listening respectfully to their needs and promoting activities that support disease prevention and healthier lifestyles.

2002

The TVHC Promotoras Program began in 2002 as an initiative to support the residents of our communities in actively participating and taking control of their health and disease prevention.

2020

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Promotoras played a critical role in helping TVHC vaccinate thousands of  community members by conducting door-to-door outreach and brought vital information to the community.

Today

Since the founding of the program, more than 600 Promotoras have been trained extensively in leadership, health issues, and resources to make a difference in their communities.
