TVHC’s 2nd Annual Spring into Summer Health Fair Serves Over 200 Community Members

TVHC’s second annual Spring into Summer Health & Resource Fair was a big success, with over 200 attendees enjoying a fun-filled day for the whole family.

The event, hosted by our Community Outreach & Advocacy department, featured TVHC’s WIC Team and Cultura y Bienestar program, health resources from various community organizations, and refreshing complimentary aguas frescas for all guests.

A rock climbing wall was also available for kids to have fun in the sun, along with arts and crafts tables and other recreational activities.

During the event, TVHC’s Promotoras and Community Health Outreach Workers coordinated giveaways of gift cards and TVHC swag, shared health information with attendees, and helped distribute food and diaper packages to families in need.

Three of TVHC’s own Medical Assistants also provided blood pressure checks for community members and offered referrals to those who needed further care.

“This event brought Ashland community members together to learn about and receive vital resources from local organizations,” stated Community Outreach Manager Selena Perez Tejeda on the importance of health fairs in the community.

A special thank you to our community partners at Alameda County Public Health Department, Hayward Area Recreation & Park District (H.A.R.D), Eden Church, Ruby’s Place, and Hayward Promise Neighborhoods for helping to make this event a success!
