Celebrating Our 2025 Promotoras Academy Graduates

Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center is proud to celebrate the graduation of the 2025 Promotoras Academy cohort — a group of dedicated community members trained to serve as trusted health advocates and connectors across Hayward and Southern Alameda County.

For more than two decades, the Promotoras Program has equipped local residents with skills in health education, outreach, and culturally responsive support. To date, over 600 individuals have completed the program, strengthening the bridge between families and the healthcare system.

This year’s ceremony highlighted the essential role Promotoras play in supporting community well-being — especially during a time when families face increasing challenges navigating care. Their work is rooted in connection, compassion, and cultural understanding, making them a vital part of community health.

We also extend our gratitude to the special guests who joined us in celebration, including Assemblymember Liz Ortega, Hayward Mayor Mark Salinas, Supervisor Nate Miley’s Office, Senator Aisha Wahab’s Office, and Hayward Promise Neighborhoods Executive Director Edgar Chavez.

Congratulations to the 2025 graduates — and thank you for choosing to make a meaningful impact in our community!
