TVHC’s Youth Health Services (YHS) department recently held the final meeting of the year for Hayward High’s GODDESS Group!

The GODDESS Group, which stands for Goal-Orientated, Dedicated, Empowering Sisters to Succeed, provides a space facilitated by our YHS team for students to meet new people, have discussions on relevant topics, and express their feelings.

To celebrate the last meeting of the year, Health Educator Jenny Castro hosted a Paint Party for the group, complete with painting stations for each student and apple cider to enjoy.

Jenny has been leading the group for three years now and has appreciated the opportunity to offer support to the students she works with at the school.

“These girls know they have a trusted adult on campus, and they are happy to come to me if they need to talk,” says Jenny.
