TVHC Goes Pink on Fridays to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Throughout October, TVHC staff across all locations have proudly worn pink every Friday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This unified show of color is our way of raising awareness, sharing vital information, and standing in solidarity with the millions affected by breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as an important reminder of the impact of this disease and the power of early detection. According to the American Cancer Society, early-stage, localized breast cancer has a five-year survival rate of 99%, yet many people are still not screened regularly. That’s why this month is all about education, support, and resources that empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health.

At TVHC, we’re committed to making breast health resources accessible. Our clinics offer a range of services, including education on breast cancer prevention, risk factors, and the importance of regular screenings. We encourage our patients and community members to talk to their providers about breast health and learn more about self-exams, genetic risks, and the options available for routine screening.

Together, by wearing pink, we honor those whose lives have been affected by breast cancer and spread the message of prevention. Join us in promoting awareness, taking steps for your health, and supporting the fight against breast cancer.
