TVHC’s Logan High School Clinic recently celebrated the completion of significant renovations, marking a new chapter in its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the students and the community.

The clinic now features a closed and secure space for family planning services, ensuring patient confidentiality and comfort. Additionally, the workspace has been restructured to promote better teamwork and efficiency by having nurses, providers, and medical assistants work together in the same office space, streamlining communication and coordination.

“By creating a private space for family planning services and bringing our healthcare team closer together, we are improving both patient confidentiality and the efficiency of our operations,” said Alfonso Alvarado, TVHC’s Youth Health Services Manager.

The renovation project was a collaborative effort, with significant input and flexibility from the school leadership. “We worked closely with the school administration throughout this process. I want to extend a huge thank you to Logan High School’s principal and Monica Salgado, TVHC Director of Facilities, who really understood our needs and helped make this project a reality,” said Alfonso.

These renovations were made possible by a $25,000 grant provided by New Haven Schools Foundation and Kaiser Permanente’s Northern California Community Benefit Programs.
