We are thrilled to share an exciting update on our newest project, the TVHC Mobile Dental Unit. Thanks to a generous $600,000 grant from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation, we are bringing dental services directly to the heart of our community.  

This unit will play a pivotal role in providing regular check-ups, cleanings, and preventive treatments that help both children and adults maintain good oral health and prevent future dental problems.

Our Mobile Dental Unit will be equipped with two dental exam chairs, a reception area, and a handicap lift. It will offer a full range of dental services, including oral examinations, X-rays, cleanings, fluoride applications, fillings, sealants, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, and oral health education focused on disease prevention.

The addition of this mobile unit is not just a milestone for our organization; it stands as evidence of the power of teamwork and the impact we can have when we come together with a shared purpose.

Construction of the Mobile Dental Unit is well underway, with the vehicle taking shape as the walls and flooring undergo lamination and the internal cabinets are framed out. Additionally, the exterior design is currently being decided with valuable input from all staff, ensuring the final look reflects our collective vision and dedication.

Designed primarily to support the TVHC Dental Department, the Mobile Dental Unit will help manage patient flow by offering preventive care, diagnostic services, and routine check-ups. While comprehensive dental treatments will continue at our clinics, this unit will ensure timely care for our patients.  

The Mobile Unit can also be utilized to support TVHC Primary Care if needed, extending its benefits beyond dental services to address a broader range of healthcare needs. By bringing these services directly to our community, we aim to reduce disparities in oral and overall health and ensure that everyone has access to quality care.
