During the December meeting of TVHC’s Adult Medicine physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs), it was announced that we will be introducing a new Family Medicine team!

This team will care for both pediatric and adult patients in our clinics and schools, led by Beth Passey, FNP as the new Associate Medical Director of Family Medicine and Youth Health Services.

In addition to the regular business portion of the meeting, the team also participated in a delicious group exercise with the Promotoras of the Community Outreach and Advocacy (COA) team.

During this exercise, our physicians and APPs had the opportunity to learn more about our Promotoras and the information that they provide during their outreach. The demonstration included low-cost, healthy meal preparation, culturally relevant nutritional information for our patient population, and much more.

In the upcoming year, we are looking forward to further cross-team collaboration to continue supporting our teams and the patients we serve.
