Mayra Terry serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for Tiburcio Vásquez Health Center, bringing more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience across a range of industries, including community healthcare, facility services, retail, and manufacturing.
Prior to joining TVHC, Mayra led talent strategy, organizational development, and people operations for organizations undergoing significant growth and transformation. Throughout her career, she has focused on building strong workplace cultures, supporting employee development, and aligning human resources strategies with organizational goals.
Most recently, at Borrego Community Health Foundation, Mayra guided talent strategy and people operations through organizational restructuring and acquisition efforts while helping ensure uninterrupted healthcare delivery. She also helped lead executive growth initiatives and merger and acquisition integration efforts at Spectrum Facility Maintenance, expanding organizational capacity while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Earlier in her career, Mayra held leadership roles with Walgreens, where she supported workforce development and operational excellence across 12 distribution centers through leadership development programs and Lean training initiatives. At Graphic Converting, she oversaw all aspects of human resources while supporting business growth and a major plant relocation.
Mayra earned her degrees from San Diego State University and is continuing her education at the University of Southern California. A native of Central California, she is proud to have returned to the region with her husband, two children, two dogs, and a rabbit. She is passionate about supporting employees, fostering leadership development, and helping organizations create environments where people and communities can thrive.
