June 2024 CEO Update
As we enter July, I want to share some important updates and express our gratitude for your continued support.
June brought significant developments with the Governor Newsom’s final budget, and we are relieved to see that the Health Enrollment Navigator for Clinics Program has been protected. This commitment ensures that all income-eligible Californians will continue to have access to care, which is crucial for meeting the state’s Health4All goals.
As TVHC’s Registration Services Manager Janet Anwar beautifully stated, “The Health Navigator Program has significantly enhanced our ability to assist individuals in navigating the complexities of healthcare enrollment. By offering personalized guidance and support, this program exemplifies our commitment to the well-being of our community.”

I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation for their generous grant, which is enabling us to purchase and equip our first mobile dental clinic. This mobile unit will significantly expand our reach and help us bring essential dental services directly to underserved communities, which you can read more about in the stories below.
Additionally, my gratitude goes to New Haven Schools Foundation and Kaiser Permanente for their support in remodeling the Logan High School Health Center, enhancing our ability to provide high-quality care in a more efficient and welcoming environment for our local student patients.
Looking ahead, we are excited to celebrate National Health Center Week in August. This annual recognition is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vital work of community health centers and the impact we have on our communities. We look forward to celebrating with you and showcasing the many ways we are working to improve health outcomes for everyone we serve.
