On Wednesday, January 31st, TVHC’s Ashland clinic collaborated with Sutter Health to provide on-site mammograms with a mobile imaging clinic!

These imaging services were available by appointments with TVHC staff prioritizing patients who were overdue for breast cancer screening.

The mobile mammography clinic was a success, with many patients expressing their appreciation for the increased access to screening at their primary care home.

When caught early, the survival rate for breast cancer is 99% (American Cancer Society), making breast cancer screening services like mammograms a key factor in overall health outcomes for our patients.

Transportation barriers greatly impact many patients’ ability to access preventive health care services, making this mobile clinic’s rapid and on-site services for our patients particularly impactful in TVHC’s continued goal of increasing our communities’ access to care.
