February 2026 CEO Community Update
February has been a month of continued momentum for TVHC, and I would like to take this opportunity to recognize several important milestones and moments of progress across our organization.
To begin, please join me in celebrating the following staff members that have recently reached impressive anniversaries with TVHC:Â
This month, I also had the honor of representing TVHC at UC Berkeley, my alma mater, where I spoke with the next generation of healthcare leaders about the crucial role community health centers play within the healthcare safety net.Â
It is always a meaningful experience to both teach and learn from today’s students as we move forward together with the shared goal of making health care accessible for all.Â
Finally, I would like to highlight the important work of our Clinical Quality & Operations Workgroup (CQOW), a collaborative effort that brings together clinical, operational, quality, and information technology partners. Â
In response to barriers that can delay or prevent patients from receiving cervical cancer screening, CQOW launched Cervical Circle, an HPV self‑collection swab pilot designed to increase screening rates and reduce disparities in health outcomes. Â
CQOW has also introduced Under Pressure, a project to refine clinical pathways related to blood pressure control in collaboration with TVHC providers, medical assistants, and our Clinical Pharmacy program. This integrated approach helps ensure patients receive ongoing support beyond in-clinic visits, improving control and reducing cardiovascular risk.Â
These initiatives are a few of several innovative projects underway as we move into 2026, and I look forward to sharing updates in the coming months as this work continues. Through this work, TVHC continues to identify challenges, test innovative approaches, and strengthen workflows that support our care teams and improve patient outcomes.Â
Thank you for your continued trust and support. Together, we remain committed to advancing health access and strengthening the care we provide to our community.  If you’re interested in connecting, I’d love to hear from you — email me or find us on LinkedIn. You can also check out our past Community Newsletters.  Â
Warm regards,
Andrea Schwab-Galindo
