Congratulations to our clinical and dental teams for the increases in our annual Uniform Data System (UDS) quality metrics in 2023!

Out of the four priority metrics that were chosen to evaluate medical services in 2023, TVHC saw improvements in three priority quality measures:

• Hypertension Control: 6% improvement from 2022 (58% up from 52%, beating current CA state average of 56%)
• Diabetes Control (A1c >9%): 17% improvement from 2022 (33% down from 50%, beating current CA state average of 36% – lower is better for this measure)
• Colorectal Cancer Screening: 8% improvement from 2022 (29% up from 21%)

TVHC’s Dental team also made outstanding improvements in their priority quality metric of dental sealants, seeing a 16% improvement in 2023.

This metric increased from 66% in 2022 to 82% in 2023, crushing the current California state average of 44%.
