Help Increase Access to Care by Supporting
 the Mission Clinic Remodel

Support our remodel project and help us add 14 additional medical and dental exam rooms to our Mission Clinic!

This important project will renovate the entire second floor of the Mission Health Center by adding 10 additional medical exam rooms and increasing access and integration between pediatrics, dental, specialty care, and Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) services for TVHC patients.

The remodel will also expand our dental operatories by adding four additional dental operatories and remodeling the current dental sterilization area and laboratory. The remodel will also include a new employee break room, lactation room, waiting and reception area, additional bathrooms, and office/consultation rooms.

“We have been really fortunate to receive a combined $1 million from HRSA and the Delta Dental Foundation specifically for this remodel, but with the amount of work that needs to be done and the rising cost of materials and labor we need additional funding support,” explains Christina Antos, Business Development Director. “Our goal is to raise an additional $1 million and we need the support of our donors and community to reach that goal.”

In operation since 2004, TVHC’s Mission Health Center in Hayward serves over 10,000 patients per year providing affordable and quality primary health and dental care. Pediatric care, adult medicine, behavioral health, and dental care services are a growing need in our community and renovating our Mission Health Center will allow us to expand all those services and consequently help more community members.

“As more legislation is passed helping to increase access to health care, the demand for our services is expected to grow more in comparison to previous years. We want to be ready and must pursue these types of projects to meet that demand, ensure that our community members have access to equitable, and culturally and linguistically competent care, and to continue to be the clinic of choice for our community members,” said Andrea Schwab-Galindo, TVHC Chief Executive Officer. “We’re grateful for the funding and investment in our facilities. It’ll allow us to continue to serve our community, improve access, and invest what we earn from those investments back into our staff and community.”
